Fire 2 is based on a 2002 Ford utility. It has a custom built rear load space area designed and built by club members. It is fitted with an 100 litre gas charged ATC foam cylinder with an attached live hose reel. This system gives the unit the capacity of over 11 regular 9 litre foam extinguishers. A number of dry powder, hydro spray and foam extinguishers are also carried to assist with crew mobility. Rounding out the unit is a compliment of hydraulic powered rescue equipment. The two person crew has the ability to combat almost any situation encountered on a racetrack with this rapid intervention unit. The vehicle colour scheme was updated in 2010 to the current red/white with yellow slash down the sides (top image) Previous colours can be seen in the bottom image.
