Members of the squad were involved in the "Vengeance Productions," production of the Hollywood blockbuster called Ghost Rider starring Nicholas Cage.

Due to the nature of many of the stunts and special effects used on set, the professional services of VFRS were enlisted.

Members served as safety officers and were employed at a number of locations in and around Melbourne. At these locations motorcycle stunts, firework effects and fire effects were filmed.

This follows on from VFRS providing safety teams to episodes of the 1990's reality show Who Dares Wins.
